Kathy Shingara, the school’s Director, has extensive experience in the aesthetics industry. Her impressive educational background includes diplomas from leading international institutes specializing in skin care, make-up, body therapy and related techniques.
Ms. Shingara is a licensed cosmetologist in Connecticut and over the years has been affiliated with CIDESCO, USA, Aestheticians International Association, Skin Care Association of America, National Cosmetologists Association, the British Association of Beauty Therapists and Cosmetologists and the National Association of Female Executives.
Prior to establishing the Institute, Ms. Shingara served as Director of Education for Nelly DeVuyst USA. She has been co-owner and director of an advanced aesthetics facility in New York’s fashionable Fifth Avenue. As a consultant she has worked nationally with schools, salons and spas and has been a platform artist for Nemectron-Belmont. Kathy has been called upon to conduct seminars and workshops across the country including as a guest lecturer at continuing education seminars at many universities.
Kathy holds the distinction of being the first Chairperson for Esthetics in Connecticut appointed by the president of the Connecticut Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association.
